Mapped Network Drives are not visible in System Cleaner

When running System Cleaner on Windows Vista or Windows 7, mapped network drives are not visible. This is a limitation of Windows Vista (see http://blogs.msdn.com/cjacks/archive/2007/02/19/mapped-network-drives-with-uac-on-windows-vista.aspx if you with to learn more).

If you are comfortable changing values on Windows Registry, set or create the following value and reboot Windows. Any mapped network drives should now show up in System Cleaner. If you do not wish to change your computer registry manually, please contact us and we'll be glad to help.

If you have installed your Operating System a long time ago and never run a cleaning program before, it's normal that a lot of files appear. If in doubt use the "Backup & Delete" option so that you can restore individual files at a later time just in case you need a deleted file.

If when deleting the file(s) you used the "Backup & Delete" or the "Zip & Delete" option, please go to the "Restore wizard" page and select the job you wish to restore.

You will have the option to restore individual files from the backup.

To check if System Cleaner is registered, open the program, click on the "Help" button and select "About System Cleaner". See if your name and email appears bellow the text "This program is licensed to:".

If the window shows that System Cleaner is running in trial mode, please click the Register button and enter your personal registration key to convert the trial version into the full version.

System Cleaner 7 and newer versions were designed and tested to run on the following Windows versions:

Windows XP with SP2 or later (32-bit and 64-bit)
Windows 2003 (32-bit and 64-bit)
Windows Vista (32-bit and 64-bit)
Windows 2008 (32-bit and 64-bit)
Windows 7 (32-bit and 64-bit)
Windows 8 (32-bit and 64-bit)
Windows 8.1 (32-bit and 64-bit)

System Cleaner 7 and newer versions does not support Windows 2000, 95, 98, 98SE or Windows ME.

When I want to register my program, I'm being told that my license key was probably bought for an older version of System Cleaner. What should I do?

It's not possible to register System cleaner with a key for on of the earlier versions (System Cleaner 3 or 4). You can upgrade to version 5 for a reduced price, if you've already purchased a System Cleaner 3 or 4 license (more information here).

To disable System Cleaner from starting with your computer follow the next steps:

1. Run System Cleaner (by clicking the "System Cleaner 7" shortcut on your desktop, for example)
2. Look for the "Settings" button in the upper right corner, click it
3. Select the "General" section (on the left side) if not already selected and uncheck the "Start automatically on Windows logon" option.
